PHILIP WHITFORD

Philip Whitford has been working in employment and vocational rehabilitation since 1988. During that time he has experience and success in areas related to job search, employment, careers, and associated disability issues. He has assisted thousands of immigrants in a broad range of employment, from entry-level labourers, to physicians and international banking executives. For several years he developed and ran the Long Term Employability Achievement Program for the British Columbia Paraplegic Association. He was on the Boards of Directors of NETWERCC and the Labour Market and Career Information Association for years. He has been a trainer to many of the employment assistance providers in the Lower Mainland. He has trained other professionals in the fields of employment, careers, and vocational rehabilitation. He has written four books on employment, job search, and career issues. Since 1997 he has provided vocational rehabilitation services to ICBC, the WCB (now Worksafe BC), and BC law firms in the personal injury field. He is an accredited Expert Witness in the Supreme Court of BC and the Yukon. He writes medical-legal reports, vocational assessments, Labour Market Reports, and research materials for Supreme Court purposes.
