I have over 25 years of direct forensic assessment and as an expert witness for the courts. I possess a Masters in Health Care Management, a Masters of Education and a degree in Psychology. Also a Bachelors Diploma in Human Resource Management and have completed my Fellowship with the American Academy of Pain Management. I also have obtained a Graduate Diploma in Catastrophic Case Management ~ Life Care Planning, a Graduate Certificate in Trauma Counselling, Graduate Diploma in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and is a Certified Return to Work Coordinator as well as Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator. I possess a sound knowledge of the Labour Law and Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety Acts, Workers Compensation, Human Rights and Accessibility Acts; across all thirteen jurisdictions.
I have extensive Rehabilitation experience supporting individuals who have suffered trauma. I have provided Return to Work, Vocational Therapy and direct Reintegration services with; Chronic Pain, Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Mental Health issues, orthopedically injured clients and their families for over twenty-five years.
My approach to Vocational Assessment, serves to identify a realistic vocational educational options for a client by evaluating; learning ability, academic achievements, cognitive abilities, working aptitudes, physical capabilities, transferable training as well as employment history, experience and labour market access. Understanding the vocational implications of various impairments~disabilities allows me to provide the client with the necessary resources to adopt a realizable, practical labour market sustainable or re-entry plan.
